Pelican are proud to announce that we have been awarded accreditation against the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating our commitment to realising the potential of the whole Pelican team.
Investors in People (IiP) believe that organisations succeed when they realise the potential of their people. In turn, individuals perform at their best meeting customers’ needs when they are led and supported well by their employer. The Investors in People accreditation is the sign of an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to sustainable growth.
Investors in People is the international standard for people management. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.
Over the last few months Investors in People have been working with us to review how we operate, how we engage with the team on what we’re trying to achieve, testing this is understood and the culture we’re adopting across the business. The whole Pelican team had the opportunity to take part and give their feedback on what it is like to work here.
In its report, Investors in People made special reference to leadership structure which was described by Pelican employees as “visible, relaxed, approachable and with more open communication.” The assessors highlighted evidence of strong core values (Professionalism, Impartiality and Transparency) as a key driver in our achievement.
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Pelican Procurement Services. Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, and an organisation committed to achieving success by realising the potential of their people. Pelican should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
Commenting on the award, Franco Scannella, Managing Director at Pelican Procurement Services, said: “At Pelican we are committed to providing a best-in-class-service to our clients that is founded on our core values; Professionalism, Impartiality and Transparency. IiP enables us to evolve a culture that aligns and delivers on this objective whilst, attracting and retaining great people. Achieving IiP reinforces our uniqueness that we offer clients, and our commitment to making Pelican a great place for our employees to work.”
Franco adds: “We have worked hard to ensure that our core values are echoed right across the business and for this to come through so strongly in the report is fantastic to hear. I’m proud of the team we have here at Pelican and am confident they will continue providing the highest level of service to our clients.”
