Pelican Procurement Services, an Avendra Group Company, has been awarded a three-year contract by Lancaster University worth £1.7 million per year to provide procurement services and an eProcurement system to support their catering, retail and hospitality operation.
The Pelican team will support effective and efficient management of stock, prices, and menus across the University’s retail and hospitality services. Plus, it will provide its in-house Purchase to Pay system, Pi, to support the University team in managing their internal operational processes across the entire campus.
With a leafy green campus just 3 miles south of the city centre, Lancaster University caters for almost 18,000 students with a variety of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. In addition to being consistently ranked among the top 15 in all three major UK university league tables, Lancaster University ranks 7th in the United Kingdom for social and environmental sustainability, with a focus on locally sourced food and zero-emission energy.
